ResearchPilot collects the following information to provide services: your account information (email, password), research input data, and generated research evaluation results. We do not collect your personal health information or sensitive medical data.

2. Information Use

We use collected information for:

• Providing research evaluation services
• Improving service quality and user experience
• Processing your requests and providing customer support
• Complying with legal and regulatory requirements

3. Information Storage and Security

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission, secure storage, and access controls. Your passwords are encrypted and we cannot view them directly.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. Information may only be shared in the following circumstances: legal requirements, protecting our rights, with your explicit consent, or — for the research input you submit — with the AI model providers described in section 5, solely to generate your results.

5. AI Model Providers

To generate evaluations, statistical plans and reports, the research input you submit is sent to the large language model providers we use — OpenAI and Google (Gemini) — for processing through their APIs. Data submitted through these APIs is not used to train the providers' models. The providers may retain it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and research data until you delete your account or we no longer need this information to provide services. You can delete your data at any time through account settings. Copies held by AI model providers for abuse monitoring are kept by them for up to 30 days (see section 5).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete your personal information, or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, please contact us through the contact page.

8. Cookie Usage

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience and analyze service usage. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

9. Policy Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be notified through website announcements or email. Continued use of the service indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
